About Jimmy

Jimmy Louie BSc(Hons) MNutrDiet APD
Jimmy is a dietitian with specific interest in dietary management of cardiovascular diseases, diabetes and food allergy/intolerance. In the age of information technology, while most people is able to research into nutrition information on the internet, Jimmy believes dietitians do have a place in the successful management of weight and chronic conditions, by individualising the advice provided as well as devising a meal plan that suits individual needs.
Jimmy is an Accredited Practising Dietitian and Accredited Nutritionist who completed his Masters of Nutrition and Dietetics degree at The University of Sydney. He is also a professional member of the Dietitians Association of Australia and Nutrition Society of Australia. He is currently a Nutrition Education Dietitian at Food and Nutrition Australia.
Besides nutrition education, Jimmy is also interested in nutrition research and he is researching his PhD with Professor Jennie Brand-Miller, examining the effect of a low glycemic diet on pregnancy outcomes.
In his leisure time, Jimmy enjoys to read books, especially computer related, and have a walk on the beautiful beaches in the Eastern suburbs.
